There are times that despite our regular dental hygiene, a tooth has decayed to the point where it cannot be fixed. Sometimes, this happens due to an injury. When a tooth is beyond repair, an extraction may be needed. If you are in severe pain, there may be an infection or an abscess. Abscesses and infections are dental emergencies and need to be treated in a timely manner. At Mid-Wilshire Dental Care, we will do everything we can to save your natural tooth before an extraction. If Dr. Bijan Afar deems that we must do an extraction, then we will do our best to make sure that it is as painless as possible.
